Slugdaddy, you just didn't become successful enough. If you would have crushed someone on your rise to the top, maybe had a couple of people "disappeared", been caught with some hookers and found with kiddie porn, gotten rich enough to buy yourself some politicians and hosted lavish parties and orgies with all the drugs you could ever want for the "elite", THEN the "democrats" would have loved you and welcomed you with open arms. (And most of the republicans as well)
You don't know how true that is. I do not put myself out there as a moral paragon, it just never comes naturally to brutally screw people, or even bargain that hard. Throughout my career I've watched 10 maybe 12 less talented people at my level get $10M+ up to about $50M rich and retire, then their company goes broke, they ride into the sunset, and the little guy that paid them gets the shaft. It just triggers my disgust reponse a bit, I heard conservatives are much more easily disgusted so maybe that's why I lean that way. Also having a federal prosecutor for a Dad growing up (before private practice) and having more awareness than most about what the laws actually require. We all do commit 3 felonies a day, that's a fact., But, if I had been able to stomach a little less ethical treatment of consumers, or if I could start even today, I would not need to work after a year or so. It sucks to be that good at doing things right, and get paid less than the guy that's 1/2 as good but morally flexible. Just my nature, I see the little guy getting fucked with, I can't stomach it... hate bullies. Now I will smoke some weed. I've done some of my best and highest paid work while being a weed smoker (not both simultaneously though)
